Is there any way to disable the Dictation History completely? #602

As of 0.8.5 there isn't a setting to stop dictations from being saved. Settings only has the "Clear dictation history" button. I checked the settings screen and the dictation store, and there's no toggle or retention option for it. If it helps for privacy: clearing doesn't just hide entries. It immediately wipes the dictated text and app context from the local database. What's left is an empty placeholder row, which is kept so the deletion can sync, and it's purged after 30 days. Until there's a proper option, clearing regularly is the only way to keep nothing around, so a feature request for "don't keep dictation history" (or an auto-clear interval) is worth opening. |

In case it helps anyone, I saw that the dictations are stored in a sqlite db. So we can do something like this with a scheduled task # simple test to ensure db exists
cd "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Muesli" || exit
[[ -e muesli.db ]] || exit
# purge dictations > 10min old from history
sqlite3 muesli.db <<EOS
DELETE
FROM dictations
WHERE updated_at < unixepoch() - 600;

For privacy reasons, I prefer that the history not be saved for recent dictations. I could not find any way to disable it. I know it can be cleared manually.
Using 0.8.5
