Echoing the request — daily Muesli user with many Teams meetings on macOS, and the manual-click-each-call workflow is the one thing keeping me from cutting over from Plaud's hardware solution. The auto-stop on mic-release is the part that matters most: when a call drops or runs late, remembering to stop the recording is exactly where things go wrong. Happy to test the v0/v1 builds against real Teams + Zoom traffic if it helps shake out edge cases before you merge. |

Hey folks the first pass of this has been implemented with the new release 0.6.8 where once a meeting has concluded and the activation source (mic/webcam) is turned off - the live meeting auto shuts off after 20s of inactivity |

Hi @pHequals7 — I've been using Muesli locally and built out an opt-in auto-capture
feature on a fork. Wanted to check appetite before opening any PRs.
What it does
Detects when the user joins a meeting and automatically starts recording; stops
when they leave. Default off — existing manual-start behaviour is untouched.
Detection layered:
Future planned phases:
Why I'm asking before PR'ing
preference for entitlements approach, etc.)
Tech
Fork is at https://github.com/MrSimmo/muesli — happy to walk through the v0+v1+v2+v2.1
work if useful.
Also - here is the latest branch: https://github.com/MrSimmo/muesli/tree/fix/auto-capture-v2.1-stop-detection
I did use Claude Opus 4.7 xhigh to help me write the code. I used your existing CLAUDE.md etc for context.
Would you accept this as a series of PRs?
